Actor Application

Application Requirements:

  1. All actors must reside in the Vancouver area from now until the end of the show dates: Wed, March 6th (7:30pm Show), Thurs, March 7th (7:30pm Show), Fri, March 8th (7:30pm Show + ASL Night) & Sat, March 9th (2pm & 7:30pm Shows), 2024. 
  2. We celebrate submissions from everyone in this beautifully diverse City and encourage submissions from BIPOC, LGBTQ and Two Spirit Artists. 
  3. All actors must be available for rehearsals, the technical rehearsal & tech dress dates (on Mon, March 4th & Tues, March 5th) and the show dates on March 6th-9th, 2024.
  4. Actors of all levels of experience are welcome. No acting experience necessary.
  5. CAEA/Union Actors are welcome to apply and will be engaged under the Equity Festival Policy Agreement.

Covid 19 Safety Plan: Rehearsals will be conducted in a manner befitting each team member’s levels of comfortability and performances will take place with full adherence to Provincial health and safety regulations.  

Tech & Tech/Dress Dates:

Mon, March 4th, 2024 – load-in/tech for 4 teams

Tues, March 5th, 2024 – load-in/tech for the remaining 4 teams + Dress/Tech Rehearsal in the evening for all teams.     

Show Dates:

Wed, March 6th – 7:30pm Show

Thurs, March 7th – 7:30pm Show

Fri, March 8th – 7:30pm Show (ASL Night) 

Sat, March 9th – 2pm & 7:30pm Shows

Venue:

The Jericho Arts Centre (1675 Discovery St, Vancouver) 

Audition Dates 

  • Sat, Jan 27th & Sun, Jan 28th, 2024 (between 9am-5pm)

THE AUDITION

Please prepare one 2-3 minute contemporary monologue: either comedic or dramatic. Our directors may ask you to perform your monologue with “redirects”. Thank you.
